There is a road in Derbyshire England, which intersects a mysterious path that appears for a time, then vanishes without warning. It links the twenty-first century to Regency England. Jonathan Thomas, a twenty-first century piano tuner and unpublished composer, is about to unknowingly enter that intersection.
As he walks from his disabled car, Jonathan carries his toolbox, and in it a musical composition he had hoped to sell in town. An elaborate, monolithic mansion that he never noticed during his frequent trips to town looms beyond a stand of Italian pines. He treks there seeking help, and meets a young woman, beautifully dressed in Regency clothing, who happens to need a piano tuner. She introduces herself with a curtsy, as Georgiana Darcy, a name he recognizes from the novel, Pride and Prejudice. She is impressed by his treatment of her pianoforte, lovingly, as if it were a precious life. She inquires about the composition, and with a smile, and loving gaze into her eyes, he refers to it as his soul. They play it as a duet. The music allows her to look deep into his heart and she falls in love. He gives her the music, his soul. While she makes him a cup of tea, he is unceremoniously sent back to the twenty first century since the intersection has disappeared.
The pair suffer from a love separated by two hundred years. Her brother, Fitzwilliam Darcy, has traveled through the intersection many times. There in the future he discovered Pride and Prejudice, and for everyone’s sake he keeps the truth of their existence a secret. He brings Jonathan and Georgiana back together, and after months of tedious, sometimes amusing assimilation, they are engaged. Shortly afterwards, she convinces him to show her his world. While there, he is injured in an accident and trapped, and she is sent back by the intersection.
There is only one person who can solve this problem.
So begins the search for Jane Austen.
The story continues with "There's Something About Mary Bennet"
Part two of the Jonathan Thomas and Georgiana Darcy Chronicles.
Good dark fun that brings you to the edge of the cliff.
Starlight Over Pemberley The Jonathan Thomas and Georgiana Darcy Chronicle Book 1 edition by Sebastian Di Mattia Literature Fiction eBooks
This was a romantic fantasy and I loved it. The author's main charcter is Jonathan Thomas and he is thrown into the P&P book. What happens next is wonderful. The main characters, Darcy, Bingley Georgiana and Elizabeth are all there. Mr Thomas falls in love and is suddenly not in P&P land. What the characters have to do to resolve things is amazing, fun and very wimsical. We even get help from Jane Austen herself. I really enjoyed this book, Very entertaining!Product details

Starlight Over Pemberley The Jonathan Thomas and Georgiana Darcy Chronicle Book 1 edition by Sebastian Di Mattia Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Starlight Over Pemberley is a griping story of love and sacrifice.
It allowed me to lose to myself in a world of passion, loyalty, decency, and glamour. I've not seen or felt LOVE, so pure, so dedicated, and so magical like that of Jonathan Thomas and Georgiana Darcy. It broke my heart in two when Georgiana and Jonathan were separated by time, but relieved when he was reunited with his beloved lady. The author has used his heart as his pen to write this lovely story, no one could possibly write a story like this without feeling the effects of what is developing with each of the characters. This book may look like an outward path across the wealthy and prosperous, through colossal mansions, gold, jewels, expensive clothing, and elegant carriages, but the actual movement is inward into "THE LAND OF OUR SOUL." Stunning I must add, an amazing adventure you won't want to miss.
The dialogue is awful and does little to entertain or promote the plot, the main character is hardly tolerable, the overall plot ridiculous. Don't waste your time.
I thoroughly loved Starlight Over Pemberley! DiMattia weaves a totally plausible tale involving Georgiana Darcy and Jonathon Thomas that had me engaged from the first page. This book does honor to Austen's Pride and Prejudice. I loved the weaving of many of Austen's other characters into this book. I could not put this book down, I read through it and DiMattia's other 'There's Something about Mary' so quickly. I took many extended lunches reading because I couldn't put it down. I would love to read anything else Sebastian DiMattia has written!
this book is hard to put down and a very good twist on the pemberly storys i highly reccomend it
This is a beautiful journey through love and time. The way the characters care for each other is magical, and the cameo appearance of Jane Austen is a spectacular chapter which I will always remember.
The book's premise of time travel, though hardly new, is intriguing... but it is so badly developed as to become almost irrelevant to the story. Nothing is explained, and the characters show little curiosity as to how time travel is even possible. The topic is dangled before us like a ripe juicy fruit and then left to rot there without providing rhyme or reason. The main character doesnt seem special enough, nor does he display any special affinity for this time period or any extraordinary previous affection for P&P to deserve such distinction. What claims dies he have to be so "chosen"? Why him? And why is he accepted so readily?
He talks about culture shock a few times, yet seems to fit in so seamlessly with his surroundings that one would have thought he belonged there to begin with. Not even his mannerism betray him, and when they do it is too mild to hardly receive notice from anyone. Yet he constantly breaches etiquette (e.g., Georgiana and Mary both kiss him on the cheek - at a ball - twice in public... No one seems shocked by such familiarity or lack of decorum, which would never take place without consequences!) While I commend the author for his bravery in choosing his subject and applying it in this particular context, he seems so unfamiliar with the nature, personality and temper of the beloved characters of P&P, and takes so many liberties with the customs of the times that I got fed up half way and stopped reading...
What an enjoyable story. Addition of a new character plus the opening of a portal to another time, gave new dimension to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. For an author (Austen) to meet her most beloved character (Fitzwilliam Darcy) would be a dream come true. Great ending. I wish these writers would be a bit more diligent when editing their work. Spell check does not catch improperly used homonyms.
